Our Mission

Help you discover Black-owned businesses

Our mission is simple - offer you a platform to discover Black-owned businesses and instantly shop. We believe the way you spend your money speaks volumes and we’d like to offer a place for you to make conscious purchases.

We are currently focused on listing businesses’ with an e-commerce presence that ship nationally. The reason is we want to make Potato Hole a place of action. In the future, we’d love to add local businesses and services like restaurants.

The name Potato Hole is inspired by Black slaves who dug holes into dirt floors of their cabins to hide, cool, and store food. We view it as a sacred place.

Who we are

PotatoHole.com is the result of a family effort.

Booker T. Jones (of Booker T. and the MGs) and his children brought

together their collective expertise to develop the site and platform.

We love that Potato Hole is a collective of hopes and dreams,

and we’re glad you’re on this journey with us.
